Our Favorite 5 Menswear Pieces for 2012
Even though we at Mens-Ties.com are a necktie and bow tie specialty retailer, we often write about much more than just different ways to tie a tie. From dress code tips, celebrity fashion, and current trends, we do our best to cover every aspect of men’s fashion on our blog. It is our goal to make this blog one of your favorite, most entertaining, as well as most informative fashion resources.
This time I put my attention to our favorite menswear pieces for summer 2012. I looked through dozens of Cataologes, magazines, and even took it upon myself to stroll through retail stores in San Francisco as well as Berlin (I did a little trip there last week) to find my favorite menswear pieces. Below are the five pieces I suggest you add to your wardrobe. I did as well!
Diesel’s Mr Daddy Watch
This $300 accessory is worth every penny in terms of style and function. The first day I wore this oversized urban style time piece I received several compliments. Cotton Twill Blazer by Banana Republic
I found this piece on sale (20% off) and paid just over $180 for it. I find it a very versatile piece that can be worn casually with dark washed jeans, dressed more preppy with white Chinos, or even for business when paired with the matching dress pants. Marc Jacobs Ombre Cardigan
I think every man should have at least a two or three different Cardigans in his wardrobe. They are the perfect accessory that can be dressed casually as well as sleek and elegant. While Marc Jacobs’ faded wash stripe Ombre cardigan may not be the best “starter” cardigan, it certainly is perfect for those who already feel comfortable wearing this sweater style. J.Crew Summerweight Twill Shirt
Available in different colors, this long sleeved plaid patterned shirt will add nice color to any look. Be it for the beach or for a night out, this shirt is a versatile accessory. I like this so-called Winnicut Plaid one the most. The turquoise blue and the tan-brown checks look best with blue denims and brown dress shoes, loafers, or boat shoes.
