Get Punchy with Pattern

Accessorize with Patterns for The Season’s Hottest Look

Pattern is huge this season! Everyone is mixing patterns with more patterns to create chic and innovative menswear getups that are wildly original. As intimidating as it may sound, we are overwhelmed by the results.  When done correctly, mixed patterns can make any gentleman look commendably dapper and debonair.  Here are a few tried and tested ways to pattern it up this season!

When mixing patterns, it is best to stick with a primary color like navys or charcoals. We love this look that we spotted on Universe of Chaos. It is a perfect example of how to mix a plethora of patterns and textures to create a highly distinguished look that is all yours!

When mixing patterns, it is important to stick with simple patterns that don’t compete with one another.  For example, we love this combination of the classic tweed suit and vest teamed up with a green and white polka dot tie.   Adding patterned accessories to textured and patterned tweeds is a fail proof technique of adding style to your aesthetic. We love the idea of a polka dot tie and a solid colored pocket square mixed in with a heavy tweed.

For innovative pattern mixing, we love mixing and matching patterned pocket squares with patterned neckties and bowties. Traditionally, ties and pocket squares were suppose to match.  Not any more!  Modern fashion enthusiasts should coordinate color collaborative accessories in unique prints. We love the option of pairing a striped tie with a paisley pocket square.
