Featuring a wide v-neck and 5 buttons, there are plenty of different options to play around with when it comes to wearing this piece; it looks great when layered over a denim button-up. This cardigan also features two pockets on the bottom left and right of the piece, making it just as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. For the money, it’s difficult to find a cardigan on the market that features such quality construction and materials.

Anyone who lives in an area where temperatures can drop extremely fast in the fall and winter knows exactly how important it is to own a cardigan that provides a great deal of warmth, and the Banana Republic Heritage Shawl cardigan ($150) is the perfect piece to get the job done. Featuring a waffle-knit collar, wooden-toggle enclosures and ribbed trim, this piece is just as attention-grabbing as it is warm. Not everyone can afford to drop $150 on a single piece of clothing, which is one of the reasons why H&M is so celebrated in the men’s fashion community. Their lambswool cardigan retails for under $40, and offers some of the best “bang for your buck” on the market. With two front pockets, elbow patches and a 4-button enclosure, this is an extremely functional piece that can look fantastic when layered with something as simple as a t-shirt. At the price, it may be worthwhile to grab at least a few of these, as they are available in both tan and dark blue.
